The former Bazár building at 3 Dohány utca was designed in 1868 by Lipót Kauser and Lajos Frey.
A landmark of late 19th-century commerce, the building served as the neighbourhood's meeting place for generations.
A new chapter begins. With its historic character preserved, the building is being reborn with modern building services and an elegant rooftop extension.
The renovation covers the entire building: the façade, the stairwell, the services and all communal areas will be renewed.
